Welcome to Kenya Diaspora Educators, also known as Diaspora Educators of Kenya Professional Development and Learning (KDE/DEKA-PDL). This platform is for all members to interact in terms of professional needs and learning purposes.
Our professional training webinars mainly focus on teachers, students, and sometimes parents. Over three years, we have held over fifteen webinars in different educational thematic areas. Deka has over one hundred and seventy (170) registered teachers who are practicing in different countries globally. Some of our members are from the following state countries; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Mozambique, Ghana, Mauritius, Nigeria, Egypt, Germán, Switzerland, Bermuda, United States of America, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, India, among others.
In PDL, we have over fifty Kenyan nationals and other nationalities who are skillfully qualified trainers. Their crucial mandate is to facilitate group webinars in different areas of our educational faculty. The year 2018,2019 and 2020 have been productive. DEKAPDL has gained tremendous momentum in training teachers in technology, teaching strategies, emotional intelligence, employability skills, and online student assessment applications.
